Denim on denim

Natural light set up with natural mid-day light. Basic denim looks are some of my favorites.

Behind Giovanna was an open garage door where we hung white chiffon and let the outdoor lighting illuminate the fabric. It ends up creating a very high contrast situation where the subject is entirely in shadow, but by overexposing the shots it creates a clean background, a bit of glow, and brings the actual portrait out of the shadows. Alternatively, if we shot parallel to the fabric we could have gotten a window light look.

Giovanna wore a white bodysuit underneath her denim on denim look. Coincidentally, we shot a very similar look last year where she wore a white bodysuit and a denim jacket against a plain studio backdrop.

After we got a good amount of shots shooting into the light, we flipped it around and let a couple of v-flats be our backdrop. Two distinct vibes, one outfit, one location.
